Witness to Evil, Acrylic, 18" x 24"

This was one of my first paintings. People usually seem to like it, but it annoys me. I only see what needs to be fixed. But I'm a virgo...what can you expect? This is from Mt. Vernon, and when I took the picture I imagined a world with slaves...hence the name. I won a freshman year art competition with this and the prize was a summer course at the Art Institute of Chicago, which was awesome!
